TheyWantYourVote.com is an online resource containing information on General Election 2009/10 candidates in the UK. The information on this site must be independent, factual, verifiable, and pertinent to assessing candidates' progressive credentials - for example, information on how they have sought to address climate change, fight for social justice, protect civil liberties, and clean up the political system (or not, as the case may be). If you believe these requirements have not been satisfied, please raise the violation on the appropriate discussion page (see below), and/or contact the system administrator.
Editing: The Basics
At present, our main focus is on collecting information on Westminster parliamentary candidates for the next general election (which must be held on or before 3 June 2010). This information falls into two categories:

Editing: The Questions
In addition to compiling factual, verifiable, public domain information on candidates, we also intend to distribute a questionnaire to candidates over the coming months. Replies will be published online. To have your say on what goes in this questionnaire, please visit the Questionnaire page.
Editing: Discussion pages
There are a number of other pages on this site in addition to those containing information on candidates and constituencies - help pages such as these, the title page, as well as the various pages listing constituencies by region. These pages can only be edited by administrators, for security reasons. However, if you spot an error, or if you can think of a way of improving these pages, you can let us know on the discussion page for the document in question. Simply click the 'discussion' tab at the top of the page.

Uploading Images
For security reasons, only administrators of TheyWantYourVote.com are able to upload images to the site. If you would like to include an image in your edit, please follow the instructions below for including images in a page. Rather than uploading them yourself, however, attach them to an email to the site administrator. Be sure to include:
- the name of the page that you want to upload the image to
- the source of the image (your own collection, another website, etc.)
- the copyright and/or licensing information for the image
