How it works
TheyWantYourVote.com is a wiki containing independent information on election candidates in England, Scotland and Wales.
Launched in May 2009, the site is presently focused on researching prospective parliamentary candidates for the next UK general election, which must be held on or before 3 June 2010.
The website is affiliated with, and run by, members of the progressive group DoSomethingAboutIt.org.uk. DoSomethingAboutIt.org.uk aims to make progressive candidates electorally viable by connecting like-minded individuals on a constituency by constituency basis, enabling them to mobilise their votes, time and resources behind a progressive candidate of their own choosing.
